Walking vs. Running -- Which Is Better?
Research
published by the American Heart Association found that walking is as good as
performance in reducing the risk of heart disease.
The
researchers analyzed the health of 48,000 runners and walkers, mostly in the
40s and 50s. They found that for a mile mile, walking lowers the low-risk
diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure, As well as perform.
The
difference? You will have to spend more time walking than running to get the
same health benefits simply because it takes longer to walk than to run at the
same distance. For example, fifteen minutes burns about the same number of
calories as a brisk walk for half an hour.
Note
that the possibility of being injured is higher in the corridors, as the execution
puts more emphasis on the body - especially the joints.
But
if you are still thinking about speeding up the pace of the race, first check
with your doctor especially if you are suffering from arthritis or other health
conditions such as heart disease.
And
note that you do not have to keep walking or running. You can stay motivated to
mix it. Additionally, adding short sprints to your walking routine will give a
greater boost to burning calories for their efforts.
