The author, Barnard says this is because of two things.
The first is that a herbal diet is modest in calories. A vegan diet is lower in fat, but rich in fiber, which fills you without filling. This includes a diet of vegetables, cereals, fruits, seeds and nuts.
The second explanation is that when adopting a vegetarian diet, the metabolism increases after flour by about 16%.
This can happen after each meal and can last about 3 hours. Eventually, this will lead to a significant amount of burning calories. The reason is that a herbal diet increases the sensitivity to insulin, which allows a much faster conversion of energy.
If you do not want to go for this vegan- diet, you can choose to try it first. Try it for at least 2 to 3 weeks and see how your body will adapt to this new diet.
You will likely see an improvement in your overall health, as a vegan diet shows blood pressure, cholesterol and cancer risks.
